Going Away on Holiday – Pre-Soaked Gel Method
(If you’re heading away, follow these steps)
  1. Open a packet, pour the crystals into a bowl, and add 1½ to 2 cups of water. Let them soak for 10–20 minutes until they expand into a gel.
  2. Gently work the gel into the soil, making sure it’s covered just beneath the surface to keep it from drying out too quickly.
  3. Water Lightly: Give your plant a small drink to activate the gel’s slow-release hydration.
  4. Enjoy Your Trip! HydroLeaf will gradually release water, keeping your plants nourished while you’re away. (lasts up to two weeks)

Day to Day Use
(For regular plant maintenance and hydration, use this method)
  1. Tear open a packet and sprinkle out the dry crystals.
  2. Prepare the Soil: Loosen the top 2–3 cm of soil around your plant.
  3. Evenly Distribute: Spread the dry HydroLeaf crystals just beneath the surface.
  4. Water Thoroughly: Give the soil a heavy watering to activate the crystals, allowing them to absorb water and expand.
  5. Monitor and Rehydrate: The gel will release moisture as needed. Water again when the soil starts to feel dry. (usually once a week)

Planting New Plants
(For long-term hydration, mix HydroLeaf into the soil when planting)
  1. Open a packet and mix the dry crystals into your soil.
  2. Prepare the Soil: Before planting, mix the crystals evenly into the soil. Use about one teaspoon per litre of soil for small plants and one tablespoon for larger plants.
  3. Plant as Usual: Place your plant in the soil and pat it down gently.
  4. Water Generously: Give the soil a deep soak to activate the crystals and allow them to retain moisture.
  5. Long-Term Hydration: The gel will slowly release water over time, reducing the need for frequent watering. (Reduces watering to once a week)
